A line of models for the aggressively expansionist Tibetan Empire, whose power lay primarily in its very heavily armoured cavalry, who were quite prepared to fight on foot as well as mounted.
These models are also suitable for Hsi Hsia armies.
Some notes:
These models will gradually replace the earlier Tibetan range sold for over a decade by us. We have started with the core of the army, the heavily armoured nobles, both horse and foot, and have added new models, Nepalese cavalry, important subjects/allies in certain periods. These are larger models in line with our other current 15mm ranges, and so the mounted will not fit four to a 40x30mm base as the earlier cavalry did (if you really squeezed them!). The dismounted models should fit on a 40mm base.
The Tibetan svastika was very important in pre-Buddhist Tibet, and was the central symbol of their aggressive, tribal Bon religion. Accordingly, we couldn't not represent it on at least one flag, and hopefully needless to say, no association to the symbol as co-opted by the Nazis is intended.
While supplies last, we also have the old Tibetan armoured cavalry available strictly on a legacy basis, while supplies last. When the stock on hand is sold off, these old sculpts will no longer be available.
